The city of Boulder, CO is centrally located in the foothills of Colorado's Rocky Mountains. Boulder's population is at 101,808 people, and the median age of their residents being 28.7 years old. Boulder has four distinct seasons and over 300 sunny days a year, with an average of 83.3 inches of snowfall a year. Boulder is an ideal location for an outdoor lifestyle with 45,000 acres of recreational open space and 300+ miles of trails.
Given this research about Boulder, I emphasized my design to the outdoor lifestyle, younger demographic, and natural elements significant to Boulder. There are several prominent flatirons that stick out from the foothills of the Rockies in Boulder. These flatiron mountains have become a natural icon of Boulder and are a must see when visiting. Being such a prominent icon, I wanted my branding for Boulder to centralize around them.
